Is There Really Danger in Diet Drinks?

Hey there, Vic here and I hope you are happy and having a great day.Today I want to talk about something that comes up all of the time when people are trying to lose fat and get that lean and toned stomach – diet soda.

In my book 31 Day Fat Loss Cure program, diet sodas are off limits. This confuses many people because diet sodas have zero calories.

So how is it possible that drinking diet soda will cripple your fat loss efforts if they are calorie free?

Here’s the truth: I don’t know the exact reason diet soda causes weight gain, but I have a pretty good idea that I will share with you in a little bit. First let’s look at a quick study that relates obesity to diet soda…

A 25-year long study conducted by The University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio found that the more diet sodas a person drinks, the greater the chance that he or she will become overweight or obese.

This was based on data collected from over 1,000 people who were either normal weight or overweight (but not obese) at the beginning of the study. The study showed that for each diet soda a person drank per day, they were 65 percent more likely to become overweight, and 41 percent more likely to become obese!

So is it the artificial sweeteners like aspartame and sucralose that lead to belly fat? Or is it the chemical ingredients like phosphoric acid that link diet soda to being overweight?

In my opinion here’s why diet soda makes you fat…

Diet sodas are loaded with chemicals and fake sugars that are foreign to your body. In the most basic sense our body is always in “fight or flight” mode… meaning that the number #1 thing our body worries about is keeping us alive and healthy.

Now when these foreign chemicals come into the body, your organs have to focus on ridding your body of these harmful chemicals instead of doing what it normally does…. which is BURNING FAT!

So by putting diet soda into your body, you are forcing your body to focus on getting rid of those chemicals – and delaying the fat burning process…

This is why I HIGHLY recommend ditching the diet sodas…

So what can you do when you want a little flavor in your beverage but you don’t want to consume the chemical crap in diet soda?

Below are a few of my favorite healthy drinks that will help you to lose weight…

1. Squeeze a little flavor. Squeeze some fresh lemon or lime into a tall glass of water or iced tea for a tasty and refreshing drink.

2. Freeze a little flavor. Throw some frozen blue berries or raspberries into your water or iced tea for a nice flavor twist.

3. Coffee alternatives. Want to add some flavor to your coffee without sugar or artificial sweeteners? Try adding a few dashes of cinnamon or a drop or two of vanilla extract.

4. Go herbal. Herbal teas come in a variety of flavors and taste great either hot or cold. And nearly all of them are calorie free.

Although it might not “make sense” that zero calorie diet sodas can make you fat, studies and my personal experience with over 14,000 customers show that there is a link between drinking diet soda and belly fat.

So why take the chance? When you want a delicious and refreshing beverage use fruit, herb teas, and other natural ingredients to enjoy a little flavor without the chemical crap of diet soda.
